The meaning of Maal Hijrah (which also called awal muharram) in English is migration and a very important day for muslim. It falls on the first day of muharram calendar year, which is the first day on muslim calendar. Therefore, this is also the new year for all Muslim. On this day, Muslim will remember Nabi Muhammad s.a.w migrate from Mecca to Madinah. Besides that, Maal Hijrah also means changes from bad to good side.
