Leon Jackson - The next big thing?

He's been hailed as the new X-Factor winner. His new single "When You Believe", made famous by Whitney and Mariah - was amazing and who knew that this 18 year old dude from Scotland has such a soulful and deep, gorgeous voice. Don't believe me? Then, open the video below. If anyone ask you, tell them you heard it from here first : )

I Want...OR?

A Motorala Razr V8 phone! It sleeks and stylish super thin phone really attracts my attention. Looks like I have to work really hard to get this. It will cost me RM 1300++.

A Sony Ericsson K610i! Rafi strongly recommended this phone, as he is currently using it too. It's a small, slim, candy bar phone with 3G. Hmm, I can get this for RM 550, thru Rafi's fren.

Stupid "Waffer"

Back home now, so I can settle down and post something in here - but nothing interesting happened today except that I woke up a bit late today and told my HR that I wanted to take half day leave. Yeah, my body still tired and I look washed out since last weekend, I didn't have a proper rest - due to 'jalan-jalan around town with Albert' and Mona's wedding.

Entered the office at 11.00pm (I was supposed to came in at 1.00pm, if I'm taking half leave) but I couldn't bear listening to my non-stop phone rings that I decided to walk in early - yeah, everyone is looking for me : ) *sigh* My workloads are waiting, baby! A minute later, I've received a call from one of my biggest customer, Kak Maimun of Texas Instrument and there was a quality issue - oily stain on one of their 'supersensitive' products, a waffer (what the hell was that???). Anyway, since this has became a major prob, I asked my QA, Ms. Lai to come along to help me to explain and face this hungry beast...grrrrr

Thank GOD Kak Mai went back for emergency leave! We then met Ms. Maizatul from engineering. Luckily she was nice (at first) as she's still new there but she was getting really annoying at times when she didn't really understand our product explanation - but it hit us back on the head too when she's explaining the 'supersensitive' waffer - whatever! - it is called. Then, her senior approached us, his name is Mr. Lim something - I forgot already - trying to ask for a replacement. What's more annoying was that, he totally ignored our explanation, that I wanted to hit him with a bloody 'waffer' too that time!

Oh well, he must have had his ego racing thru his adrenaline coz he must be damn proud working in a big company (duh, do I look like I care??). Enough about him, we finished at 3.00pm and then went straight to a Malay stall and had our lunch. We then went to bangi to visit another customer before we went back at 5.30pm. Tomorrow is going to be another bz day for me. Better sleep early tonite....Mmuaxx

p/s: But I do like peanut butter with chocolate spread waffer! nyam nyam...

"Biarlah Bulan Bicara"

Dinyanyikan oleh Broery Marantika. Air mata tetiba mengalir bila dengar lagu ni:
Bulan sabit
Yang jatuh dipelataran
Bintang redup
Tanpa cahaya gemintang
Langkah tanpa arah
Sesat di jalan yang terang
Aku yang terlena dibuai pelukan dosa

Ingin pulang membalut luka hatimu
Ku pun tahu betapa pedih batinmu
Beri kesempatan atau jatuhkan hukuman
Andai maaf pun tak kau berikan

Air mata tulus jatuh di sudut bibir mu
Tak terlintas dendam di bening mata indah mu
Aku yang merasa sangat berdosa pada mu
Masih pantaskah mendampingi mu

C/O: Biar lah bulan bicara sendiri
Biarlah bintang kan menjadi saksi
Tak kan ku ulangi walau sampai akhir nanti
Cukup derita sampai di sini

Mona's Wedding - Congrats

Selamat pengantin baru and semoga berbahagia ke anak cucu

Bukan pengantin, tapi tgk pengapit lelaki yg khusyuk tgh makan tu

Adegan suap menyuap semasa makan berhidang

Ngan Ajai

Pengapit ari ni dari Kelate, Ina - member sekolah kitaorg gak

Us

Cincin kawin

Comel kan? Sama2 tembam..hehe

Tersenyum riang member aku sorang ni

Oops! Merahnya dia...

Nasi minyak bersama kari ayam and ayam percik...nyam

Senyuman riang dari aku and Rafi - entah!

Bunga telur

Kak Ngah with a fren - nyanyi lagu "pandang-pandang, jeling-jeling" (yang bertongkat tu ayah Mona)

Rindu sgt time study dulu...huhu. Byk kenangan manis and pahit kt sini tau! (Sek. Men. Tmn Tasik, Ampang)

Tahniah kepada kedua-dua mempelai kerana berjaya melangsungkan perkahwinan mereka pada tarikh keramat (hari ni) - 27 Januari 2008. Comel sangat bila tgk diaorg ni, sama2 padan. Tema plak warna purple, so ramai sedara2 terdekat pun memakai baju warna sedondon. Mona ni kawan baik aku sejak sekolah rendah lagi sampailah skrg ni dah jadi bini org pun. Jumpa ramai kenalan time sekolah dulu, masing2 dah nampak lain sgt - ada yg dah kurus and ada yg makin berisi...hehe...cam aku gak lah...haha. Aku ngan Rafi pick up Ajai kt umah dia and kitaorg gi sekali.

Ramai tetamu yg datang. Kebanyakannya jiran2 berdekatan. Terserempak ngan beberapa member sekolah tp ada gak yg menyombong so aku pun, hidung tinggi gaklah, haha. Walaupun majlis sederhana tapi meriah sangat. Rasanya cuaca yg terik tak menjadi penghalang utk kaum2 keluarga kt situ nk berkaraoke - which lagu2 yg dinyanyikan adalah jenis pop yeh yeh - time abah2 and mak2 kita dulu...

Sempat gak jumpa Julia, Elfi, Hidayah, Madura, Zuhairah, Ina tomboy (walau tak sempat nk snap gambar bebudak ni). Seronok bila terkenang zaman sekolah yg dah 7 tahun aku tinggalkan tu. Yelah, dulu duk kt Ampang, skrg ni kt Kajang plak...huhu

On the way balik, singgah kt sekolah yg aku study dulu. Banyak perubahan dah skrg ni, bangunan pun byk baru2...Memori lama tiba2 datang kembali...Sejurus selepas tu, aku ngan Rafi terus ke KL sbb ada hal sikit.

Well, hari yg agak memenatkan utk aku - penat semalam pun belum habis lagi - tapi aku gembira kerana kahwin gak member aku sorang tu...hehe! Malam ni confirm tido awal.

p/s: Kal and Song, wish you guys were there. Itulah, kata nk dtg, tapi tak dtg pun...

It was a very long day today...

I woke up quite late today. I was still tired but I have to take Albert pusing2 aroung KL. So I picked him up at 9.30pm - I didn't even had my breakfast - but he did had Bak Kut Teh! - am so jealous. Anyway, Kak Ti wanted a lift to Citibank tower where she had a Japanese caligraphy test. Oh well, at least I had a company.

We went straight to Federal Hotel, Albert left all his luggages there and we're on to KLCC - as our first spot. He took a lot of pictures - and I managed to take his pics, candidly...hehe. Sadly, we couldn't go up as the police was closing that area. Kak Ti managed to ask and looks like a rally is goin to be held - the reason? - price of goods went up - hmm...Move over, since I didn't take my lunch, we all went straight to Madam Kwan's. Thankfully, the place wasn't crowded and we didn't need to queue. I had Nasi Lemak - RM 14.50, both my sis and Albert tried the Nasi Bojari - RM 20.50/plate. We add on some sambal petai udang and otak-otak, all total of RM 116.50 (OMG).

After lunch, my sis left earlier as she's late for class. I continued the conversation with Albert. He was basically interested of knowing about our history but since my history is not good, I've explained whatever I can to him - thank God he understands.

We then went to Petaling Street and he bought 2 D&G belts - for his daughter and wife - for RM25/each - he really knows how to bargain - the actual first price was RM55. I've bought some souvenirs for him and his family - a chopstick, hand fan, a replica of the twin tower and a replica of 'keris' - costs me a total of RM34 - not bad eh? Another place that we went was Central Market but we didn't buy anything - but Albert said that it's a nice place to sit while watching people walk by.

On the way to Dataran Merdeka, I picked up Kak Ti and Baby - went to the National Mosque afterwards but they've already closed, so no chance but Albert did take a picture of us together. Last destination was Dataran Merdeka. I was exhausted and the weather was hot as hell, didn't help either. But thankfully, it's already time to go back. I've sent Albert safely to his hotel and he said that perhaps, tonite he will go to the nearest bar and have some beers (biasalah, mat salleh).

Albert was having Nasi Bojari - RM 20.50 (gulp..)

Me and Kak Ti (I don't know why I smile like that???)

Albert taking the pics of the Petronas tower top view

Err....No, I don't know who that is!

Suria KLCC - from the back view

KL view - from the hills of Bangsar

Great pose, Albert.

See, awan mendung nk hujan.

Haha...Entah!

Albert from Holland

God, yesterday was a very bz day for me. Morning, I went to Senawang with my boss to meet our customer's there for a curtsy visit. We've managed to visit a total of 6 customers in that area. I went back home at 6.30, when my other boss, Richard, sms me and told me to take our client from Holland for dinner. Arghh...I've no choice. He gave me some money (RM 200 to be exact). I've been reminded by Richard that this 'mat salleh' doesn't want to eat any western food, so don't bring him there. Instead, I brought him to one authentic restaurant, called Lemon, and we've tried a lot of dishes, such as Kangkung masak belacan, 2 plates of white rice, black pepper beef, 'ikan siakap' with spicy thai sauce and chicken rendang...hehe...The fish was really spicy. What's funny was that, this 'mat salleh' (who is btw, name Albert Mey) face turned red and her eyes was watery, maybe the food was too spicy for him but hey, he asked for it! No pics to show here and tomorrow, I've been asked again by my boss to bring him around KL and one thing he did asked me was - "Where can I find fake watches? I'm looking for mechanical Rolex watch." - Duh....Anyway, watch this space for more updates!
p/s: Btw, Albert has piercing blue eyes, dirty blonde hair and is super tall! I think he's 6'3 or something - typical eh?

What's L.O.V.E?

To all my friends:
Remember your first kiss?? It may be a total disaster with lots of saliva (duh!?) but the memory of it is always sweet. The first kiss, the first date, the first LOVE are seen as the road to adulthood. To some people, these memories bring out the smile but to some, they're a painful past.

LOVE? What is LOVE, actually? For me, the tingles that you feel whenever that special someone calls you, or the goose bumps that you're experiencing when you are close to 'that' person. All these wonderful feelings can only be felt by someone who is in LOVE!

But not everyone can share a happy story. LOVE can sometimes be the the weapon that can kill your inner strength if you don't shield it. LOVE can change the wonderful person that you use to be if you let it rule you! Yes, LOVE hurts! LOVE...? Then why LOVE when you know that it's goin to hurt you bad??

Coz you know that someone without LOVE is lost in a desert, not knowing his direction or path or where to lead to...It's like a heavy rain where you're all wet and cold, nowhere to run to...However, after the rain drops - eventually a rainbow will appear!

B-I-T-C-H-E-S @ Hartalega

Hartalega di Batang Berjuntai

I'm exhausted today!
Drove to Batang Berjuntai - 2 hours of driving - and reached Hartalega (my ex customer) yang orang2 nya such a pain in the ass!
Itu belum lg Catherine Ng yg macam mother of all B-I-T-C-H-E-S tu.
Anyway, citer pasal ari ni di mana nyaris nk gaduh ngan si Cat ni tp nasiblah superior aku, Edward ada so aku relaks lagi la.
Mesti korang ada yang fikir yg aku ni asyik moody jer!
Taklah, actually aku ni penyabar...Sepanjang discussion tu pun aku byk tersenyum but bila dia kata tak nk byr, apa lagi - merah muka aku nk marah - tp aku still maintain lagi la - leh senyum lg - tp bila duk perli2 company aku, apa lagi, aku pun LASER la skali.
Time tu terpana mata dia tgk aku...Yelah mesti dia tak sangka kan?
Kata nk settle secara professional konon tp ikut perasaan jer aku nampak! Mmg BITCH!
Si Kak Rohani plak time tu, tertunduk jer - hah, ni lagi satu baboon ni - boleh dia kata dia takde suruh aku convert inner wrapper tu from roll tu wallet?? bila aku kata elok2, kata tak ingat la, apa la - but bila aku tunjuk email, terus diam!
Itulah lecehnya kalo dah salah tp tak nk ngaku....Bengong tul!

Pastu, aku ngan boss aku Edward gi lah makan kt Damansara Heights tu.
Bestnye aku tgk suasana keje yg sebegitu...Kalo nk dibandingkan dgn tempat keje aku yg muram tu...Jelesnya...
Tambah lagi smart jer diaorg pakai baju belang2 tu (kan dah jadik trend skrg ni!).
Kt Kajang ni plak, 2-3 kerat jer yg aku jumpa...huhu....
Makan takdelah best sgt...Makan mamak jer...Dah itu jer yg aku nampak...Nk mkn Western, melampau plak...hehe

p/s: Motifnya, kalo ada jawatan kosong kt Hartalega tu kt Purchasing Dept, nasihat aku janganlah try nk apply kalo rasa nk hidup lama! Wakakaka

Alicia Keys - Like You'll Never See Me Again

Tears ran down my cheeks when I first heard this song. Yeah, it's that good!

OMG! Free 1st Trial Consultation

Just now, someone from New York Skin solutions called me and said that I've just received a 1st free trial for a customized facial treatment at Midvalley the boulevard. WOW! I didn't imagine that I was selected among others but hey, I really need this. My skin condition really needs an improvement!

Date: 26 January 08
Venue: Midvalley the boulevard.
Time: 3.30pm - 6.30pm (yes, it's a 3 hours sessions)

p/s: I might bring somebody along...Wanna go B?

Everyone Worth Knowing

I'm currently reading this book by Lauren Weisberger - who penned The Devil Wears Prada. I know it's not Macho to read chick flick but do I look like I care??? I mean, if it's a good read, why not!

Cib**!

"Back stabber" - stupid fuck!
Those 2 words really show someone's true colors today. Well, Lalu, you can talk shit in front of customers about me like I really care. Once a maniac, will always remain a maniac. Stupid bozo! Oh well, it's useless talking to a person like you (orang ke??). Funny thing is that, even the bosses are blind - staff turnover are high! For me, that means there must be problems somewhere? *sigh* - What I should do now is breathe in this middle of mayhem!

Monday Blues

Monday blues:
Nothing much happened today except that I have a little fight with that "stupid fuck" - arghhh!
"If it's your own fault for not understanding a simple instruction, don't blame me instead! Blame you fat ass-la, Lalu! Plus, I know you're talking shit about me in front of my customer - cibai "- arghhhh, I'm so P-I-S-S-E-D OFF today!
I have tons of work to do today before I went out for a meeting in Bangi and Mantin but managed to settle half of it.
The other half, I save it for tomorrow.
Well, tomorrow need to go to Batang Berjuntai with my superior to discuss with another ex-customer about rejected pouches - they've agreed to pay 50% from the total outstanding payments.
My boss has already bising2 about it for quite some time now.
I hope we can settle it tomorrow.

p/s: Please do not get offended with some of my words!

Julia and Maggie Goreng

photos courtesy of song2ats.blogspot.com

Yesterday's nite, Kal and Song dropped by at my house and we've chatted until late nite. It's been awhile since I last met them.

I hope that Kal can settle his problems in a well manners way. I wish him all the best.

Song? Today is his first class in Unity Kolej. Among us, he's the smart one. Anyway, I wish him all the best too.

I've cooked a simple dish that nite. What was it? Ala, just a maggie goreng. Sorry guys, tawar sikit but I know you're both like it. Oh maybe, becos sama2 dah lapar kan....hehe

Suddenly, my ex school mate - Julia - called. I was totally shocked and wondered where did she get my number? It was Mona who has given her when she gave Julia her wedding invitation card a few days ago. Can't wait to go and meet her on Mona's wedding next week. Ajai too has taken one day leave off for her big day!

p/s: I will definitely bump into my ex school mates kt rumah Mona di Ampang nanti.

What a HOT day today!

It's hot hot hot today!
Here's a quick recaps for today's activity:
I've showered a few times cos I'm sweating. It's been a really hot day today.
My nephew, Hafiz, dropped by and hang out wit us, playing PS2 - Burnout.
Rafi came and we had lunch toggether but he's not well.
He complaints that his back ache and his fever hasn't cool of yet - oh my!
After he'd sent me home, I slept like a baby - from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
Woke up, refresh myself and watched 3R.
Now, I'm lying on my bed and it's still hot in here.
I don't dare to open the aircond now cos my mum has warned me to save on our electric bills so I am allowed to do so only at nite...huhu
Well, that's all for today's updates.
I'm goin to have another shower now!

p/s: Tomorrow will be a very bz week for me...So sad!

Spirit Review

After listening to the CD for awhile, here's my track by track review.

Bleeding Love
~ No questions, this song is the most amazing best single ever. Half ballad, half not, which top the pop chart for weeks now.

Whatever It Takes
~ A feel good song when you listen to it a few times. It's hip-hop mixed with a simple gospel kind of music.

Homeless
~ She sounds a bit like Christina Aguilera. This ballad is just haunting!

Better in Time
~ The piano opener makes it easy to listen to but not my favourite in the album.

Yesterday
~ I just love listening to this song. It just reminds me of earlier Mariah Carey's song, which is think is great!

Take A Bow
~ Produced by the producer that brought you Bleeding Love but take a bow is a bit melodramatic song. Some says that this will be the next hit but we'll see...

I Will Be
~ Originally recorded by Avril Lavigne but Leona sang it more deeply and emotionally. She's definitely sung nicer than Avril. My favourite in the album.

Angel
~ You'll have to listen a few times to like this song. It's nowhere near as good as the other tracks.

Here I Am
~ Penned by Walter A, who introduced the earlier Mariah Carey's song - Hero, When I saw You, etc. Even Leona's voice sounded 70% like Mariah...Love this song!

I'm You
~ Produced by Ne-Yo. But a bit boring, even when you listen to it a few times. Not very catchy!

The Best You Never Had
~ The most uptempo on the album. Cool even if it's not great.

The First Time I saw Your Face
~ I've heard this song covers by Celine Dion but I just can't take it if it's too ballad heavy.

Footprints In The Sand
~ Just nice! It takes you memory lane just listening to it.

A Moment Like This
~ Brilliant! This song is sweet like an old fren coming to visit. Leona's deliver this song better than Kelly Clarkson.

Verdict: A competent first album with some great moments. Can't wait to watch her grow into a huge star. The next Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston? I'm not sure yet. They have achieved the 'diva' status already, but Leona Lewis certainly has the tools to get there too. Well, I've done my homework and now I'll let you decide!

The red highlights is my fav in the album....

p/s: Ni promote Leona Lewis giler2 ni. Dah macam publicist dia plak! hehe...

Letter of the Week

issue 90* 19 Jan - 1 Feb 2008

A week ago, when I was reading my fav mag (Hot!), I've decided to write a letter to the editor. I didn't have any intention to win the price whatsoever but requested if the magazine can feature more about Leona Lewis as I don't see any stories about her. The letter goes like this:

Confessions from a male reader...
"First of all, I'd like to compliment you people on a job well done. Every forthnightly, you people happen to dish out some pretty remarkable stuff. Secondly, your January issue rules. Especially your interview with local babe, Paula Malai Ali and exquisite singer, Kylie Minogue. Way to go! Talking about UK babes, can you feature Leona Lewis on your next issue? She has produced a great album called Spirit and I hardly see any stories of her in local mags. Any idea when will her album out in Malaysia? UK named her the young Mariah Carey and Whiteney Houston. I know a lot of Leona fans will appreciate that. Thanks a bunch. You guys rock!
P/S: How about a calendar for us readers?

Ed: We've been playing Leona Lewis loud and proud in our office and thinks she rocks too! Will try and dig up more about The X-Factor winner. Until then, here's a Maybelline hamper (worth RM150) to kick-start your new year!

p/s: Maybelline hamper? Err...okay!

Mariah Carey - That Chick

Mariah Carey's latest album - That Chick - will be out worlwide on April 08.
Can't wait for the album to arrive on our shore.

Tracks such as:
Lovin' You Long Time
Touch My Body
That Chick
Thanx For Nothin
For The Record
Migrate
Cruise Control
Love Story
OOC
Bye Bye
For Real, For Real
Heat

The Ring!

"B"
I've found the ring that you've gave me on our first Valentine...
I thot I've lost it...tsk tsk tsk

I'm smiling the whole day today ; )
Why? I've received Leona's and Imran's CD, thanks to Edz (I owe you big time) - who bought it in Singapore.
Well, you can't find those CDs here and these are the CDs I wanted to buy but didn't have the chance...hehe...

Thanks again dude....Hugsz

Hmm...

I just want to blog a fast one, so here it goes:
Firstly, my voice is a bit okay today. I can still talk and communicate with people but can't stop them from laughing. I decided not to see my customers today. My ankles and knees still hurts. I've taken my daily drugs - teh ais and roti canai kari banjir. I'm getting fatter and thinking of losing some weights. Kal called today and it was fun chit chattin with him. Miss him so much, tho. Nowadays, we've seldom meet each other and hang out like we've used to, but it's ok. Sms'ses Edz and he was on his way back from meeting a fren. Miss him too...Well, I shall end here! Till next time...

Trip to Genting - 13 Jan till 14 Jan 08

Hmm...where should I begin?? Oh well, at last I have some space and time to update about my recent stay in Genting last Sunday. All I can say that, there was never a dull moment when you're in Genting. The weather was nice too, sometimes cool and sometimes hot. I really enjoyed my time there with my colleagues. Yeah, I scream a lot until I lost my voice today (ehem...) but it was all fun experience. I won't hesitate if there's a chance of going there again.
My most frightening ride was the roller coaster - also known as the corkscrew - wicked!

Catherine, Teoh and Chan having their very expensive nasi goreng - RM 12.50/plate.

Me and Kak Milla shared a light moment.

Cute and adorable Hakimi - behind is his mother, Rus!

Indoor view

Me and Tika - my eyes all droopy.

Tika and Mary (from Filipines).

Kak Milla, Me, Catherine, Kak Isnah, Chan and Mary.

3 ah moi ride the space shot!

Mary and Kalam romantic ride.

Black is the new pink!

"What're looking at, huh?" - Ah Tuck.

"I'm so happy to be here"

Our hotel.

Hmmm....

Outdoor view.

Antic car ride.

Kak Milla's latest squeeze.

Most frightening experience of all!
